Shere Background

Shere was founded in 1992 by Neil Briscoe and David Parson,
who had a burning vision of a self-service future for ticketing systems.
From the outset they developed systems that met the individual
requirements of their clients including Cap Gemini, Virgin Trains,
Stage Coach and KLM.

Shere is now an undisputed leader in the UK rail market with over
1200 self-service machines and desktop machines installed;
nearly two-thirds of the total market. Shere's innovative approach
continues with the roll-out of its self-service technologies into the hotel
and non-rail transport sectors
